Choosing Your Scan Quality

We offer three scan quality options for film — designed to suit everything from casual digitisation to exhibition-grade printing. Each frame is scanned individually, with careful cropping, dust removal, and tonal correction included as standard.

High Resolution (1200 DPI)

  • Ideal for viewing on screen, sharing digitally, or making small prints (up to ~6" × 4").

✔ Best for family archives, film shooters, and high quality backups

Even our High Resolution tier exceeds the maximum quality offered by many commercial labs.

Premium Resolution (2400 DPI)

  • A versatile choice for high-quality prints and moderate enlargements (up to ~10" × 8").

✔ Great for reprints, zines, portfolios, and personal projects

This tier is often priced lower than the entry-level scans from most high street services.

Ultra Resolution (4000 DPI)

  • Captures every bit of detail from your film — ideal for large-format printing, editing, and long-term archival.
✔ Recommended for professional work, restorations, or collectors preserving original negatives
